This song is inspired by "The Vampire Knitting Club" series by Nancy Warren.
Lyrics:
Knit and purl, knit and purl,
You never could quite figure out
How to knit and purl.
Keep your hands busy with knit and purl
What new mystery will now unfurl
Will someone meet their demise at afternoon tea
Or will you finally discover who ended me?
Knit and purl, knit and purl,
You never could quite figure out
How to knit and purl.
You came to Oxford to visit me
And now you run Cardinal Woolsey's
Will you fall for the detective or the undead
I am still uncertain what is going through your head
Knit and purl, knit and purl,
You never could quite figure out
How to knit and purl.

This sounds like a great series of books! I love the creepy tone of the song--great chorus. (I've got to read these now.)

I did not know there was a Vampire Knitting Club series of books! Your lyric makes them sound like a lot of dastardly fun, and the melody is all kinds of spritely and also mysterious.
I'm guessing Cardinal Woolsey's is a yarn shop in the books? That's the kind of excellent punnage I can really get behind. Thank you for opening all this up to me!
