I guess I've succeeded in coming up with a somewhat cheery, happy song, after some downers. Thanks to the four-chord loop challenge. I think maybe you could sing that old 60s song "We'll Sing in the Sunshine" to this chord progression. If I get around to playing this one live, maybe I'll do that, make it a little medley. Goodbye FAWM, it's been a fairly fun one.
We took the millennium by the balls
Kept pushing on, we did it all
Put all the doubters in their place
Now they don’t dare to show their face
Floods and storms and natural disasters
We wiped the floor up with those bastards
Don’t be looking for us down in the gutter
We’re the ones in control of the rudder
Never worried about gaining riches
Or impressing any rich sons of bitches
You can always tell when we’re in your town
By the denizens who come out from underground
And you may think we’re a sight to see
Assholes of the highest degree
But we’ll drive on into the stratosphere
Heads held high, devoid of fear

I agree that this is happy, or, more specifically, reflects the contentedness of a person who knows who he is and is perfectly satisfied with that and the life he's led, which is perhaps the most important kind of joy. The guitar is relaxed and toe-tapping and reflects the mellow wisdom the singer has grown into, and your voice captures that spirit as well. Excellent!

Love the snarl on "denizens" particularly.
Hope to hear more from you next year!

Snarly lyrics with a doo-la-la chord progression.
I'm glad to hear that our side won in the end.

Cool lyric that has that McGorey/Lou Reed like snarl to it. I like the tone of the looked-down-upon steering the rudder.
A song for our times.
