This started as a song about the fact I was stuck on writing a song.
I can try to write a song for you, baby
I've done it once, maybe twice before
They trickle out of me, a solo score
Never two, never three, never something more
I can try to play a song to you, baby
If I don't pass out on the cellar floor
The strings dig at me, make my fingers sore
And the words desert me for a distant shore
I can try, I can try, I can try all night
To make it happen, to get it right
Never lose focus when it's in my sight
Even it goes until the morning light
I can try
I can try to make love to you, baby
I've done it once, maybe twice before
I profess my love, it's you that I adore
You're left wanting, always something more
I can try to really pleasure you, baby
The many places I'd like to explore
Your nails dig at me, just a little gore
No try, just do, going in full bore
I can try, I can try, I can try all night
To make it happen, to get it right
Never lose focus when it's in my sight
Even it goes until the morning light
I can try
I can try, I can try, I can try all night
To let it happen, to make it right
Never lose focus when it's in my sight
Hopin' it goes until the morning light
I can try... all night
I can try... all night
I can try... all night
I can try.

The words have a lovely cadence to them that makes it really singable. I like that you've got the rhyming scheme that have the same rhyme sequence for the first four verse, then changes it up but keeps the same pattern. Nice job.
