I finished writing this one, but ran out of recording time (traveling to visit family for the last couple of days of FAWM). Demo should drop by Friday, March 4th.
José and Frank, they know all our secrets:
Every Friday morning they haul bits of them away.
We hope for absolution, but even more discretion
From those garbage-man confessors known as Frank and José.
A pandemic load ... of shipping boxes,
Along with two, maybe three empty cases of beer;
Past due notices ... by the dozen,
Unread news enough to stretch from there...to...here.
José and Frank, they know all our secrets:
Every Friday morning they haul bits of them away.
We hope for absolution, but even more discretion
From those garbage-man confessors known as Frank and José.
A plastic strip ... with a blue stripe,
Empty bottle of whiskey and gin;
Cut up shards ... of credit cards,
This neighborhood's in trouble, where should we begin?
José and Frank, they know all our secrets:
Every Friday morning they haul bits of them away.
We hope for absolution, but even more discretion
From those garbage-man confessors known as Frank and José.
We hope for absolution, but even more discretion
From those garbage-man confessors known as Frank and José.

I like it that your song gives these two usually anonymous characters names...It got me thinking that it could be interesting to give the listener a glimpse of what's in José and Frank's garbage too...

I'll be curious to hear this. Before I read it, I went through the list of Joses and Franks in pop culture. No hits. Yes the sanitary engineers know a lot of secrets. Interesting take. Hey. That reminds me. Tonight is trash night. Thank you again for our collab. It seemed to be a hit! How do we top it next year?
