I wrote this a couple of days ago, but ran out of time to get it into logic, so this is the super fancy version I recorded on my phone :)
You were over in the corner by the bar with a beer
The timber of your voice caught my ear
Your lips were moving as you pulled me near
But honey I can’t hear you here
We hang at your place on a rainy day
dance and sing to the records you play
I wanna hear what you have to say
But honey I can’t hear you here
Hear me baby when I cry
In the middle of the day or late at night
I want you to hear me hear me here
I move to your place with all my stuff
The first night together is a little rough
I’m too sensitive, and your too tough
But you hold me and hear all my fears
I think I can be happy here
I walk down the aisle on our wedding day
Try to remember what I wanna say
You promise to love me, come what may
Under the big chandelier
I think I can be happy here.
Hear me baby when I cry
In the middle of the day or late at night
I want you to hear me hear me here
And every time you hear me sigh
I want you to ask me the reason why
I want you to hear me hear me here
For the rest of our lives it’ll the day we. Die
I want you to hear me here

I love the here/hear wordplay throughout. Great story-line. Catchy melody. Love the simple phone demo. Nice!

Glad I stumble across your music. This is a good song. Great vocal performance along with great lyrics!

Very sweet airy voice . Good contrast between pacing of lyrics in verse and the slower pace of chorus . A very pleasing song
