Apart from the basslines, all the noises in this song, ambient and percussive, came from recordings of me speaking or making sounds.
(the little bit at the end is my russian history teacher talking during class, processed to hell and back)
Fascinating. Reminds me of the demonstration of how mp3s compress things, where someone had created a version of Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner" that consisted solely of the sounds that compressing the file had removed.
There's a good 45 seconds of complete silence at the end; was that intentional?
This is pretty cool. You're definitely trying some new things--at least different from what I've heard from you in the past. If you hadn't mentioned it, it wouldn't have occurred to me how you made this. Once I started thinking about it, however, it occurred to me that people with misophonia might have a problem with this :)
Close your eyes and imagine me applauding. This is pretty cool. It blows me away that it's constructed entirely of speaking and random vocal sounds. Well done.
