Sometimes I wanna crash your car
Drive it headlong into the ocean
Sink down to the floor below
Take some time with this emotion
Sometimes I wanna crash your car
Just fall asleep at the wheel
Drift right off the highway
Because I don't know how to deal
It's a matter of death
It's a question of life
How do you hold all this pain
This emotional strife
Sometimes I wanna crash your car
Get listed among the missing
Leave here without a trace
Cuz I'm struggling with living
Sometimes I wanna crash your car
Going a hundred miles an hour
Until this life becomes a blur
I don't know myself anymore
It's a matter of death
It's a question of life
How do you hold all this pain
This emotional strife
Life was beautiful

I like the sparse arrangement and feel it supports the weighty lyric very well. It spotlights the very good, emotive vocal performance.

Ah love love love these emotive clear gorgeous vocals and love how the song starts with the lyrics/vocals center stage so the sentiment comes through so strong with the beautiful sparse piano backing …. Such a powerful hook and poignant song.

Beautiful singing right out from the start. These words are really raw again and they drew me in to see what was going on! Very nice piano and the feeling goes perfectly with the singing. Great work and song!

Very classic female pop vocal, and I like the choice to break with the pattern for the end, giving it a more linear, poetic feeling. Reminds me of Joni.
Lyric wise, very intriguing and tbh I am still puzzling over the significance of 'your' in the first line of the chorus. Also, 'fall asleep at the wheel' is interesting because although you can introduce that danger, it's less intentional than driving it off a cliff- offering a mix of active and passive self destruction. Also the use of past tense in the final lines is telling- lots to be inferred in this one. Excellent!

The vocal tone on this one is beautiful. I also really like the piano in the background. The words are powerful, especially "How do you hold all this pain"

This is so different to the others I've listened to, but the lyrics link it firmly to the rest. Kudos for keeping to the very spare piano / vocal mix, I guess it helps to have a singer who can totally belt it out like this! Wow.

This is gorgeous. Beautiful vocals and moving lyrics that ring true. Love the chorus in particular.

Vocals are great (again) and the lyrics are brilliant. Another heartfelt and honest reflection of pain. These are all really strong songs and communicate at a really core. I'm just sorry that you've been through what you've been though to arrive here. Coping through art is not a bad way to deal with it though, and these songs, particularly as a body of work, are artistic worthwhile and valuable. It's great work! (I will come back to the lyric-only ones another day, but now down to 4% battery, so it won't be today!).

that line about being listed among the missing is very effective. that vocal is very good. i also really like the bit about matter/question/death/life. but please don't crash my car because they don't make them anymore,. you sure did post a lot all at once!
