Feb 2022 piano pop singer-songwriter lyrics personal
Describing myself as a human being once - this is about me maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Recorded on an Ipad Mini 5 using Audio Evolution Studio, via a Rode A1 Micro interface and a Rode Lavelier mic. Backing by Chordbot.
Personal note:: I like this. I could put some more verses on this.
I‘ve taken this time to shake off my dull chains and strive to be a bird in flight
And wander this city that’s hated me since day 1 with all my high and might
Though I may be shorter than all of the other girls in this flock I‘m flying with
I look to the sun and never below because that‘s where my goal is
I‘n running ‚round town like several young chickens scratching in search of their mom
I get asked by tourists where the train station is and I, as usual, just play dumb
It‘s not that I don‘t want to help, it‘s just that I am never quite so sure myself
That I might send them to Englischer Garten instead and they miss their train and they wish me dead
It‘s somber on a quiet afternoon
Just left my office and I don’t know what to do
I never had all this free time back at home
All of a sudden, I feel so alone

Like @wolfkier I love the sheer, crazy tumble of words that you're generating here. It's very powerful, almost like a piece of modernist writing or something. The 'Englischer Garten' line is particularly well-observed. And I like the way the second section is more considered somehow. Definitely one to pick up again post-FAWM! #tit4tat

Haha.... wish me dead.
That run of words is extraordinary and captivating on that nervously flying piano. And the stop startles, in a 4th gear to reverse way
these snapshots are expertly crafted and meticulously observant. The listener can't be anywhere but right there in the moment.
Well done. Indeed.
#tit4tat2 - so we are 2/2, I see you volunteered 3 so I'll go ahead and, I'm sure, enjoy a third from you. Should you wish to go beyond 3 as the month progresses, I'm all happy ears.

This is another truly good performance. The music and vocal performance are perfect. You have a refreshing approach to writing.
Well done.
