Feb 2022 electropop piano unfinished-demos
This one was written strictly for content purposes (I wrote the lyrics in 15 minutes) and to experiment with a change in recording setup. Recorded on an Ipad Mini 5 using Audio Evolution Studio, via a Rode A1 Micro into a phantom power unit and and MXL 990 mic. Backing by Chordbot.
Personal note: Depending on the reaction I may bump the synth pop parts up a bit.
You‘ve been trying too hard to be in my life
There‘s a reason, I want no more strife
The pad is empty, the keys returned
The car is totaled, the bridges burned
Chorus: I‘ve been running through barricades
Throwing them back up so you can‘t follow through
Stomping magnolias, hide in their scent
You‘ll drown in their fields, forget where I went
I‘d be happy to miss you
But you won’t let me
Those we have in common
Are scared for me
I can‘t take your rides
I don‘t know where we‘ll go
I‘ve seen your side of heaven
It‘s the dark side of hell below

Well, something these very quick writes are very powerful. And I think you got the right chords for the right lyrics. I'd leave the synth parts in that track, maybe a a pad with some wobble? And some layer of fuzz? This could work well to the rather jazzy vocal performance. #tit4tat

I have to look up Chordbot. I like the effects you played here. My music background is very limited, I just started learning to play an instrument, and now have migrated to GarageBand, so always looking at the liner notes to see what people are using. It amazes me that this was 15 minute write. Well played for what I hear. Nice to be introduced through #tit4tat
