Feb 2022 piano piano-pop singer-songwriter
If your personality has been affected by staying home the last two years, even it you really enjoyed it because „OMG!! FREEDOM AND PEACE“, just know you are not alone.
Recorded on an Ipad Mini 5 using Audio Evolution Studio, via a Centrance MixerFace R4 and and MXL 990 mic. Backing by Chordbot.
Personal note: I need to tweak the bridge and write a third verse
It‘s been a while
Since I stepped outside
And felt the breeze in my face
I gotta get used to saying hi
Since I‘m scared of everyone I meet
It‘s a huge chore to go to the store
And buy a loaf of bread
Because talking is something that I dread
It‘s been a while
Since I went downtown
And played dodge with the cars
Late at night, when all are sleep
I take a walk with the stars
Sometimes, I go to the shore
Sing to the voices in my head
Because talking is something that I dread
I‘ve disappeared all my life
Usually after I disappoint someone
My shame holds no bounds
So I dissolve in the atmosphere
In the atmosphere

Oh goodness, some of this felt painfully close to home! I really loved the 'go to shore / sing to the voices in my head' lines, there's real poetry in those. Great performance again, really like the harmonies when they drop in. Well done! #tit4tat

A quirky track with a lovely spring in its step. Even the vocals skip like they're playing hopscotch over the fizzing notes; the erratic pausing and changes of pace liven up the piece and brought a smile to my face. When the piano erupts into effervescent bubbles at the one-minute mark, I think that's when I fell in love with the song.
I came for the relatable topic and stayed for the performance. I will have to check out more of your work.

What a lovely physchological portrait, quite cinematic in an early Goddardian way. .I like it all but "dodge with the cars" is an absolute winner for me. Just genius.
I think you're right about the bridge, Not sure you even need a final verse, perhaps, but any efforts to complete this one to satisfaction, I think, are well worthwhie.
#tit4tat. I'm glad to be able to access without signing in. Thank you for your kind words and input earlier. I had a feeling this was going to be a rich and happy #tit4tat exchange. :)

Lol, I know some of these blokes. Fun lyrics and just the right instrumental for this topic. I like that the vocals are just hitting hard. The piano is soooooooo good especially the arpeggio part. #tit4tat

You're a very skilled pianist. You remind me a bit of Regina Spektor which is such a lovely thing!! I love when you double your vocals :) This is quirky, cool, and beautiful all at the same time. The lyrics are oh-so-relatable. As I've gotten older, I have become more "social", but I need LOTS of time to recharge alone with my thoughts. The piano during the bridge is gorgeous, btw!! #Tit4Tat

And yet another very good production. There is a wonderful dose of self-deprecating humor in this song. Everything fits perfectly.
I'm going to have my daughter listen to some of your music. I think she'll be a fan.
