Remember, when given an ultimatum, you don't need to always back down. Here's a song where the narrator realizes this and puts the power into his/her hands.
My Last Final Chance
A long-familiar place, I’ve lived here for so long…
Don’t doubt it gives me willies, by God, you’d be so wrong.
Every time I meet this juncture, my soul goes in a trance…
Not sure what I did this time, don’t really even matter…
My luck’s gone on vacation, guess I walked beneath a ladder…
Par for life’s course and my last final chance.
CHORUS
Every chance I ever got, seems to be my last…
Should shut up and enjoy it, my life would be a blast…
Instead, you make me nervous, my heart beats really fast…
Spoiling everything I’ve reasoned in the past.
Until this last final chance.
So, I’m going for the gusto, I’ll live the life I choose…
Give you one last chance, to fix your faulty fuse…
I’ll stop feeling I’m a failure, damn your stupid rants.
If you can’t live with me just the way I am…
Don’t really need you, babe… I’m telling you to scram…
I’ve opted to ignore my last final chance.
CHORUS

The double - last/final chance - is a good way to say it. I had a relationship where my SO told me I was lucky he was willing to take me and nobody else would. He gave me lots of final chances to "behave" the way he wanted. I ignored my last final chance too...and am MUCH happier. I enjoyed the instrument solos sprinkled within the song. Very nice!

Bob - What a nice song to end the month on. So glad to have met you. Thanks again for making music with so many of my lyrics. I've really enjoyed them. Look forward to more next year.

"My luck's gone on vacation, guess I walked beneath a ladder... "
Great lyric. I found this song wandering around in my head even after it finished.
