Feb 2022 lo-fi full-production acoustic singer-songwriter emo indie
this will be the last one i'll be able to showcase this year. rest assured i'm working to make the rest of the album live up to these 4 in their productions. i like how this one turned out too.
oh how i always want the opposite season when it's here.
oh how i follow your eyes to the door
oh how i fell in the dark, new moon, new steps that weren't there before
i'm so good at stumbling
oh no don't tell me why you're calling leave a message
oh no it's never good news, who didn't make it?
oh no i'm not falling for that shit
i'd rather keep stumbling
oh beg me to stay in one position for all time
oh beg me chop off your head and put it in the oven
oh beg me not to stare, i can't help it, i can't
and my eyes are stumbling
oh tell me every tragedy, every lost inkling
oh tell me all about you, again and again and again
oh tell me how i'm perfect, i'm not, but thank you anyway
and i'll keep stumbling

Great sound, such a musical approach to the drums - and when they drop out leaving the voice and an almost off-mic guitar, it's really effective. Love the whole minimalist approach to the production, and chord progression, yet each part has its own inventiveness, so there's a depth to discover - I know I haven't discovered it all in one sitting, so here we go again...

Anyone ever tell you that your singing sounds alot like Warren Zevon?
The simple lo-fi production fits the lyric well, tasty guitar lead after the 3rd verse!
