Featuring...
@nateger on drums,
@swampjaw on bass,
@wazylizard on guitar & flute,
@sorby69 on lyrics, vocals & editing
** EDIT - I swapped out my silly SnapChat face as I agreed with a few folks who thought it sat at odds with the serious/dark lyrical content **
Standing here - surveying the scene
surrounded by the ruins, of what could have been
a broken doll on a pile of rubble
I’ve lived in hope, but now I’m scared to dream
Nothing I ever wished for happened
Now I’m scared, for me and you
Nothing we ever wished for happened
But all our fears - they came true
Why can’t we all just get along?
Nothing seems to stick to those doing us wrong
John & Ono they gave peace a chance
Can’t fix the world with just one song
Nothing I ever wished for happened
Now I’m scared, for me and you
Nothing we ever wished for happened
But all our fears - they came true
Got to believe, there’s a better script
where greed is history and the tables are flipped
Got to believe there’s a better story
and peace is worth more than death or glory
Nothing I ever wished for happened
Now I’m scared, for me and you
Nothing we ever wished for happened
But all our fears - they came true

Flute? so cool. Definitely can't fix the world with just one song. Great but dark chorus for nothing we ever wished for happened but all our fears came true; very scary. Good build up throughout the song in energy.

this turned out great! sounds good, the video looks good! the flute's a nice touch.
this 4-person video collab thing looks super-fun and i hope to give it a go in the future!!

I loved it!!! Great song with real significance today. I want to learn this video editing stuff before next year.... or I could learn to play music better..... nah..... :)
Loved the split within a split video
@lowhum Mar 2022
Great to see you guys - you look like a prog-folk-rock band from the 60-70s. Nice tune and singing, sublime flute-ing and all.
@paulh1237 Mar 2022
The first verse lyrics are a real scene-setter, great straight out the block. The flute is a really cool addition to the sound, very distinct! Sidenote: I would like to own that guitar.

@deena Feb 2022
This is great! What a treat it is to see everyone in their settings, too.
@andrea Feb 2022
Awesome song. Love the lyrics and watching you all play along. Good stuff!
@nadine Feb 2022
You have a lovely jam session. Like @sapient said, it's like you were a real band cause you all look soooo chill. Wait, what @nateger plays drums!?! And a recorder?! I liked enjoyed this song very much.
@emkaydeebee Feb 2022
This is epic! Love it - you all sound really slick together, and those lyrics are ace!
@elesimo Feb 2022
This is amazing! I also didn't realize at first how dark the lyrics were, the contrast with the upbeat feel make it sound like it's a post-apocalyptic song where you're trying to find hope or joy. The song sounds great, it's such an awesome collab!
@sapient Feb 2022
Brilliant work.
By brain's doing somersaults trying to work out how you would do a thing like this. It all comes together so well.
Seriously.
Like you are all actually are in a band together and this is you being forced by SARS-COV-2 to rehearse together over Zoom :D
Love it!

Too cool! I was so happy about the upbeat music, the face effect, the double @wazylizard, the recorder and these gorgeous harmonies that I only realized now how dark the lyrics are. Anyway, it's a killer song that has a certain Tame Impala vibe to me, and that's high praise.
