Feb 2022 hhgttg live-looping ambient improvisation douglas-adams-70th
I've decided to do a set of ambient pieces, continuing the practice I established during Fifty/Ninety last year. The goal is to get to 42 songs this FAWM. That figure is (of course) in honour of Douglas Adams, who would be 70 years old on March 11th.
RG9-BK nine-string guitar, loop pedal, processing.

My dad loved 42 b/c it was Jackie Robinson's number. It was his lifelong mission to get the number retired at Yankee Stadium (one of two stadiums that didn't initially because Mariano Rivera was still wearing the number at the time).
Gonna have to keep listening :)

I've always loved this kind of layered guitars with complex ever shifting harmonies. This sounds like really tasty ice cream to me.
PS: Happy Birthday, Mr. Adams!

That's a big "orchestral" sound you're dragging from that RG9! It sounds bowed. And rather lovely. I really like your ambient improvs. And I also wholly approve of your reasoning for achieving the 42!

Very soothing, yet provides enough complexity to hold your attention- this really does embody the phrase: Don't Panic

Well done, very warm tone and great sounds in this one.

Ambient Robert Fripp-esque pieces with titles inspired by The HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy? It's almost a perfectly circular venn diagram of things I'm into .
I love the mood of this. Pretty noodling.

Awesome Frippertronics style piece, I totally dig it

Fripperies?
More like Fripperies/Enoies to my ears.
Although "Enoies" sounds kinda dumb.
Oh yeah, lovely guitar looping and twirling around in the middle distance.
I like that bed track; sort of undefined relaxing noise that the guitar swims around in.
(Poorly constructed sentence above, sorry)
Yes, so nice.
