Feb 2022 instrumental dystopian stream-of-cosnsciousness one-take improvisation
I thought I'd finished yesterday. Then two things happened to cause this track to come about. One was watching the news for the first time in weeks.
Second, I'm reading Kenny Werner's book, "Effortless Mastery", and was sitting here in front of the keyboard with an empty mind, trying some of his exercises, and letting my fingers do what they wanted.
And this track happened.
Instrumental - but if it had lyrics, they'd probably be angry and bleak.

this might be one take, but this sounds really planned out. It just Oooooooozes atmosphere.

Very bleak and spacious, dark presence and tidings in this one.

If it were me I'd do a weirdo spoken-word bit with the telephone voice I use.
But that's just me.
I'm liking all the space in this track.
I totally agree with @seppo's comment below.
The piano/dulcimer-type tones are great.
Really great work for an improv.

Not sure what the instrument is, but I like the sound very much. Definitely tense film score soundz. It is long enough but equally it could have gone on longer. The best way to process the news right now is to turn it into material like this.

Spellbinding meditation. For me it does not sound only distopyan. I feel a positive vibe as well.
These are the Pripyat pianos again, right?

There is some modern futurism mixed with oriental world and still there is something spaghetti western in it.
What? I like it.
