This is some music to go with @cindyrella lyrics re New Orleans and the effects of covid
Playing For Me
© 2022 Cindy Prince
I see them marching
Swaying, swaying
They have trumpets
Playing, playing
I feel the vibrations
Thumping, thumping
My heart in rhythm
Pumping, pumping
Chorus
Yet I look down the streets
Of the Big Easy
There seems to be no one in sight
More lockdown again
Everyone is uneasy
But I still hear them and I sigh
Jazz music can never die
Bridge
I feel the pulse
Across the city
I close my eyes
Yet I can see
They're all around
Playing for me
I sense they're here
Blowing blowing
All the blessed tunes
Growing, growing
I know this jazz
Zinging, zinging
Lifting up and out
Singing, singing
Repeat chorus

Feels like Randy Newman and Louis Armstrong got together on this one. What a great way to present these lyrics.

What a great reminder that music can still fill our souls even during a pandemic. Feels like New Orleans! Wonderful piano, vocals and performance. This is a joy to listen to. Super collab!

Fantastic song and collaboration. I like the spirit of happy jazz here. Gorgeous lyrics, music, singing and playing. Very expressive, effective and inspiring. Feels so happy and warm, loving and beautiful. Thank you both very much.

Yes! I can hear the New Orleans spirit coming through in this gentle swinging interpretation of this wonderful lyric. It all comes to life, with so much visceral detail. Beautiful collaboration.

Awesome Randy Newman-esque sound - perfect for Cindy’s evocative lyrics! I have a sudden craving for beignets. :-)

Excellent collaboration! I love the lyrics -- the repetition in the 2nd and 4th lines of the verses is appealingly unique, the rhyme placement in the chorus. A stellar job with the music and vocals, too...somewhere between Randy Newman and Dr. John. This is definitely a song I would enjoy hearing multiple times and could see your followers saying "play that one about New Orleans."

One of my best memories of New Orleans is the street musician playing a spray-painted, Jackson-Pollack-ed piano. He could have played this one.
That's some fine playing and singing, and evocative words - excellent collab!

What a perfect song for New Orleans - love the lyrics that paint a wonderful picture of this city I love and I really like the evocative feel that the music brings to the lyric!

This comes across like a lazy stroll around NO in the small hours of a summer's evening. Lovely, loose, joyful piano work and uplifting words. Nice work, both!
