Dressed to the 999’s FAWM22#09.
Words/music by JAG Delaney
Verse 1
You’re dressed to the 999s
It’s an emergency in my mind
I need some serious help
It’s not good for my health
Cos Babe you just look too fine. Hmm
Dressed to the 999’s
Verse 2
Put my heart in some restraints
Slow things down please I want to wait
And see if I can recover
Some kind of control
Of my body and soul just in time
But you’re dressed to the 999’s
Bridge
I don’t know whether to offer my compliments
Or just try and turn and run away
Cause I can’t stop staring and I’m almost past caring
What anybody else has to say
Now the Blue Light of Love is on the way
Verse 3
But you’re dressed to the 999s
Really something so divine
Think I need an intervention
you know you got my attention
Cos Babe you just look too fine
Dressed to the 999’s
Dressed to the 999’s
Dressed to the 999’s
Rpt Bridge and V3

The Way You Make Me Feel/Uptown Funk vibes. Infectious but dubious cat-calling/stalker songs!! I grew up listening to Jackson (and the Police/Sting with their misunderstood stalker song Every Breath You Take) but a recent favourite version of The Way You Make Me Feel is by a young lady singing in Quechua, to promote her ancestral language. Ah, quandaries but I'd still be interested in how you played this in a demo!
That's linguisticaly if not otherwise a great linkage/metaphor - dressed to the 999s - between high fashion ' dressed to the nines' and heart attack, summoning paramedics or then also maybe police or MH professionals to deal with you as a stalking cat-caller dangerously out of his mind with "love".
Most of the time that's the antithesis of how I want to interact with people - owning or roleplaying a MH condition is okay if it's a sexy & superficial reference to stalking aka a powerful love apropos of fashion choices!? - and of course looking good is never an open or direct invitation of itself to everything your heart or d*ck might desire. But I'm not sure if I am still in the spirit of FAWM there especially not knowing how you'd play this!
