Feb 2022 dance bearcore notslothcore
I was browsing samples and super excited to come across some sloth bear samples, thinking I could do a slothcore tune. But sloth bears are not sloths. Sloths are not bears. And sloth bears are bears. So I made a dance song with bears.

Bouncy and fun, and the beat, tempo, and the repeated growls all demonstrate an energy well beyond the capabilities of your average sloth. And this led to quite the Google adventure, I must say. My new word of the day is "myrmecophagous" (an organism that eats ants).

I too had to look up sloth bear.
Not sure of the connection with this song, but it sure sounds great.
What's that rhythmic sound that keeps coming in and out?

The title made me think of Grateful Dead iconography, but this is definitely not that! The sloth bear sounds are enjoyable and work very well as elements of dance music. The delay-drenched drums sound futuristic.
(Goes off to read about sloth bears.)

Instant head-nodder and foot-tapper. I'm not dancing, though, because I don't dance and I'm also at work, tethered to my desk by my headset cable. But if I did dance, I would dance to this.

Wait, there's a sloth bear? I had to check Wikipedia!
This is awesome, by the way! It's like a faster version of slothcore. This has a really nice groove to it, it's fantastic.
