This is my grand finale!
I wanted to write something uptempo and uplifting that would help pull me out of where I'm at. Maybe this speaks to you too?
(Also I pulled out the stops and added some production values.. hah!)
I’ve been stuck in the mud on the side of the road
I’ve been dying to leave but I’m already home
I’ve been burning through the calendar days
Keeping safe and earning that pay
I’m ready for a change
I’m ready for the fast lane
I’m ready to live again
I’m ready for a change
I’ve been trapped in a wheel with two thumbs and a screen
I’ve been cancelling dates saying “wait and see”
And when everything you love is on hold
It’s hard to feel alive when life is post-poned
I’m ready for a change
I’m ready for the fast lane
I’m ready to live again
I’m ready for a change
Risk or reward?
Worry or love?
Science or your prayer?
We can’t let these time divide us
We’ve gotta go out and find us
So I’m telling the world that I’m ready to move
I’m gonna find that old jacket and order new shoes
It’s hard to leave the doubts behind
But it’s time to step outside
Chorus x 3

Yas! Delightful! You can hear the Billy Joel and Elton John influences here in all the right ways. Also, did you do all the backing vocals? If so, I'm amazed at the way you're able to change your tone in each one!

Nice, upbeat song with a good message, cool piano playing, and a solid vocal. Love what you did at the end!

Uplifting it is ! The choir part at the end is perfect. The swing / gospel spirit works so nice with the lyrics. Horn section would make it even better but we can imagine it with the rest of the song !
