Feb 2022 fawmtronica folk political collab
Sean sez: I asked Robyn if she needed help finishing up her FAWM. She said, "I do have something I’ve been working on but have been struggling with lyrics. Maybe I could send it your way? It’s a sort of aggro electronica thing, I had the idea that it would become an angry anti-war rant but it doesn't have to be. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! " This is what I came up with. I think it's along the lines of what Dr. Dre. and Woody Guthrie would have thought of.
Robyn: I’m so stoked about what Sean brought to this! It’s so much cooler than what I was trying to do with it, and it’s awesome to hear him rap!

Verse 1:
They call them frontline heroes then put them in harm’s way
But Say they’re lazy bums when they ask for living pay
Which all goes into living And they haven’t got a cent
When the landlord comes around Asking for the rent.
Rent is spent
Rent’s already spent
Too much month at the end of the pay
But poor folk know how to get by day to day
They may never get the key to the town
But they help each other up when they are down
Help each other up
Help each other out
People should be free of poverty and war.
To live out all their dreams in peace.
Heaven forbid if you’re sick or hurt. They say
you’re trying to game the system too lazy to work
The hustle never ends, with too little pay
And eviction is only three lost paychecks away
Three paychecks from the street
And your kids need enough to eat
This has always been the story of the working class
One percent has passive profits and palaces of glass
The working stiff will never have a home of their own,
And not enough bread but they have plenty of stones
Plenty of Stones
Wonder where they throw ‘em?
The Greatest lie of the class war
is when the one percent convinced the masses
that this is how it should be
That there is no class war.

This is PEAK dystopian movie soundtrack vibes from lyrics to arrangement and I am here for it. Well done to the both of you.

Killer glitchy beat and synth goodness. Thick swirls of sound... Tough but honest lyrics that just hammer the truth home. When you get to the "People should be free of poverty and war" section, the intensity just goes through the roof. Hard to listen to without getting mad and wanting to make a difference. Exactly what it should do - success top to bottom. Loved this.

What a badass beat for badass lyrics. Yeah, there is a lot of inequity in this world and I am happy that you adress it. I didn't expect this chorus and this extravagance with all the phaser work so well. Especially the last chorus with the new beat is nice. #ListeningSkirmish

This whole track is epic and really hammers the message home! What an incredible lyric - I admire how you have taken on such a large issue but have managed to boil it down to something this succinct and punchy.

This one really hits, class war is everywhere but nobody sees it, the invisible war. So I really like how you wrap this up, with the GReatest Lie....there is no class war. Cool backing track too, it is aggro-electro...I didn't know that was a genre!
