Feb 2022 collab swing slothcore experimental
This is what happened when Ol Jim fell asleep in his chair. It involves some samples of sloths and didgeridoos and heavily-processed snoring.
Ol Jim was having company
The neighbors coming in
To catch up on the news
And do some talking with him
Well, the talk was dull
Wasn’t going nowhere
And before you knew it
Jim fell asleep in his chair
Now Jim’s good wife
Was embarrassed to death
Didn’t know what to say
Couldn’t catch her breath
Jim just smiled and
Went on as if
Everyone fell asleep
Took a nap for a jif
Jim’s wife was embarrassed
She called the next day
Jim went on doing
Things his own way

Realtime snoozing! I'm Team Jim. Really excellent and surprising way to highlight this lyric, bookended with the snappy piano. Very nice.

I'm convinced that if Nancy gets a-hold of your lyrics, you're going to get something special from it. I think Scroops set things up perfectly with said lyrics and then suddenly THIS happens; in a very weird and fun way. Great collab!
@pooka Feb 2022
Okay, well, I was not expecting that.
@elesimo Feb 2022
Oh, wow... this took quite a turn. Loved the experience!
@mikeskliar Feb 2022
ha, that's one fun little journey, napping on the way! ("no nap, Im crap" once said loudon wainwright in a song).
@kenmattsson Feb 2022
This is perfect! It might not be the original, but I'd call it the OG! You really got the essence of slothcore here!
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
Oh that was a nap after that jaunty start. Ah now i hear the didges! And here we go again! What an interesting mix ! Love the way it slows out at the end!
@standup Feb 2022
Love this. The slowdown as we transition to sleep. Entering another world. This is the most nap-featuring slothcore tune ever. I love the texture and sounds/events of the sleepworld.
Then the second nap! Lovely.
