Apparently I recorded the instrumental mid-February as an attempt to write a rock song with a lighter mood. I had forgotten all about this song until yesterday, Feb. 26. After finding this, I spent the day creating lyrics for it. The song is a message to myself to keep going.
Every day is another chance to change.
You are not the same.
We all share
This wild train.
You maintain the world as it spins in vain.
I know you care.
It’s lonely there.
Infinite sustain.
Turn to where you want to be
And dream.
It hurts how far away it seems.
Believe.
Turn to where you want to be.
Redeem.
It hurts how far away it seems.
Believe.
Every night is another try for life.
Rest comes with nightmares.
I know you’re scared
As the stars glow in the sky.
You desire to always make things right.
Your mission is repair.
They see it in your eyes—
All you’d sacrifice.
Turn to where you want to be
And dream.
It hurts how far away it seems.
Believe.
Turn to where you want to be.
Redeem.
It hurts how far away it seems.
Believe.
Everyone still loves you when it’s done.
I hope
Everyone still loves me when it’s done.

A pop rock song with a inspired message. I a sucker for drums and I do like these and the guitars and that distorted biting lead.. I am glad that you found it and shared.

Yeah, that's a nice pop rock song with a catchy chorus, introspective lyrics and everything. Good build and cool solo #tit4tat

Fabulous guitar solo and wonderful groove that works really well with the well written introspective lyrics. I like the perspective you share and the sentiment in the chorus. Nice change up between chorus and verse. Great vocals!

Ooh, the moving thirds on "turn to where you want to be," etc., are lovely. Man, I'm glad I opted to give a second tune of yours a listen. Now I'm feeling inspired to keep continuing my own journey(s)!
One thing I appreciate is your ability to sing through your instrumental lines, not just over them. The steadiness and independence of the vocal line adds depth to the song.
WHOA, love the guitar tone on that solo!
