a rough orchestral sketch to get the feel/idea across, now i have done this i can see the shape a bit better to come back and write some more solid parts, but i think this sketch gets the feel across.
EDIT 13/03/2022 - i worked on it a bit, hope this is an improvement... original here:

EDIT 17/03/22 Have made a video for this now with royalty free stock footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkwLL_kxXKg
as crocuses prick the lawns with coloured darts
the emergence of the daffodils starts
their finger tips pushing through the earth
reaching for the new season's birth
days becoming brighter
evenings getting lighter
dense clusters of fresh green
new untouched and clean
they lift their heads, still tightly wrapped at first
waiting for the perfect time to burst
and unfurl their flags of gold
and raise their trumpets high and bold
with a flourish they shout
winter is out out out
march on March oh yellow parade
pulling sunshine into r shade
with a fanfare they sing
bring in bring in bring in the spring
@tamsnumber4 Mar 2022
The build in the music is awesome! OUT, OUT, OUT Winter, Bring in the spring...you have me so excited now....this was wonderful and described everything so well and then made us want it NOW, NOW, NOW!!!
@richaaaay Mar 2022
Back for another dose of this wonderful song. Great video too. Have I ever mentioned that I think you are brilliant?
@mandolinda Mar 2022
Springtime is a magical time of year. My moms favorite flower was a daffodil. Where we live, they bloom on her birthday in April. Your words remind me of her.
@danvaillancourt Mar 2022
Beautiful uplifting orchestral arrangement which feels very spring-like. Love the poem and ready to bring in the spring and have those daffodils march on up out of the ground as part of the golden parade!
@br0th3rh00d Mar 2022
Oh awesome - this is absolutely triumphal!
@katestantonsings Mar 2022
<3 Hopeful! Lovely new demo
@nancycunning Mar 2022
Move over Wordsworth. What a triumphant sunshiny spring song.
@dragondreams Mar 2022
I honestly thought I'd left a comment for you on this. I recommended it to everyone I spoke to after hearing it!
This is fabulous. :-)
@jonmeta Mar 2022
Oh gosh, this is full of hope. The last section is triumphant with its “unfurl”, “trumpets”, “flourish”, “fanfare” and the repetitions of “out, out…” “in, in…”. A poetic celebration in words as well as music.
I know something of what this means. We lived some years in the NW of England. The mere words “snowdrops” and “daffodils” brought a leap of hope to the heart. You’ve captured it all.
@sailingmagpie Mar 2022
Love how atmospheric this is, with the orchestration and the marching drums. The backing works so well with the excellent spoken word poem. Very enjoyable.
@tunecat Mar 2022
Cinematic . You get the build brilliantly. The orchestra plays well. It reminds me of something I think it was some ads of I remember will let you know. Great stuff !!
@robynmackenzie Mar 2022
Lovely and hopeful—your vocal delivery is as powerful as the lyrics. This is spectacular.
@metalfoot Mar 2022
Just stunningly beautiful.
@katestantonsings Mar 2022
I love the orchestral sounds and the slam poetry! Your voice is lovely to listen to, Wobbie.
@roblincoln Mar 2022
Beautiful poetry even without the music. You have such a great spoken voice too. The music enhances the words in a dramatic fashion. Very inspiring!
@liz561 Mar 2022
Awesome lyrics! It sounds like the narration for a film!!
@wolfkier Feb 2022
a little early for dafodils here, I'm afraid, but this is giving me a yen for that happy time...
This is great. I love that it builds so beautifully. Inspired! Well done.
@gwyn1234 Feb 2022
I was wandering lonely as a cloud, as you do, when all at once I saw a post about spring and being as it's St. David's Day tomorrow which is when my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils, this poem was perfect! Forget William Wordsworth, go Wobbie Wobbit!
@mosley Feb 2022
I love the orchestral fanfare under this poem, awesome piece!
@kendrakinsey Feb 2022
Yes! The fanfare at the end is perfect!
@fuzzy Feb 2022
Hmmm...
It's snowing right now on top of the already present foot of snow here.
That said, I'm really loving the orchestral climax here.
Your vocal delivery is so...triumphant and Springy!!
Lovely poem!
@hoppiern Feb 2022
I love the way this builds! And the lyrics are wonderful too. Great job!
@jeff9 Feb 2022
How marvelous (and for me, unexpected). A tiny and intense slice of artfulness with this poetic lyric, its delivery and the perfect accompaniment.
@feb21sundari Feb 2022
Very cool, a wonderful text - terrifically implemented ... at the end when all the flowers come out it sounds like chaos in the orchestra pit, but that's how it could sound if you "hear" the colors synaesthetically.
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
Oh my like a memory from my youth! Very nostalgic! Nicely done.
@richaaaay Feb 2022
Oh my Wobbie, this is lovely and PERFECT! Seriously, the music the words (oh my goodness!) and the delivery. Top notch stuff…You are awesome!
@sw1n3flu Feb 2022
Wobbie does horticultural Streets!
Fabulous
@timfatchen Feb 2022
My favourite flower and we don't even have snow where I live! yep, the orchestral sketch points where you want to go with this.
@max Feb 2022
Sitting outside in the sunshine with my headphones on, watchin the first bulbs and plants coming out of the ground. This is the perfect soundtrack to accompany the glorious feeling. Thank you so much for this! I'm going to walk through my garden now with you on my headphones. :-)
@headfirstonly Feb 2022
That is absolutely bloody lovely.
