This is more a poem although I had an idea for it to be a song, when I recorded it just now, it just felt more like spoken word poetry. The poem was inspired by a photo one of the sale reps in the wine company I work for sent me. It was a fruit fly. I thought if that was a red, it might not have been noticed buy the store that purchased it from us. It was chardonnay.
This also contains a sample from a Ditto Mic Looper which I purchased some time last year and it had this sound of a woman, kinda "coo-ing" looped on it. I thought it was great. The other sounds are some ambient either guitar or synth slowed down, and the vocal I looped three times, progressively adding more effects to it.
There's a bug in my wine
Can't you see it there?
There's a bug in my wine
No, it's not a piece of hair
If I ordered syrah or pinot noir
I wouldn't have seen it this time
There's a bug in my wine
There's a bug in my wine
Oh, order the chardonnay!
Buy a bottle of THAT!
That freakin' fly was so large
It would've been eaten by my cat
There's a bug in my wine

This is so eerie, like that very much. Love how the voice changes over time.

Bummer.
Fruit flies seem to love wine.
I'm really enjoying the bloopy backing track.
The repeating spoken word sinking ever deeper in to chaos is great.
Yeah, another good one.
