COME IN FROM THE COLD
Your heart got tight
And suddenly closed
No more words
And now the night froze
Reason was blocked
By walls you erected
Brick by brick
You were protected
[ch]
Oh, come in from the cold
Keep your heart warm
Release your expectations
And you’ll survive any storm
Forgiveness is not weakness
There are boundaries to hold
Release what doesn’t serve you
Come in from the cold
If you need some time
To sort things out
Find a harbor
From all those dark clouds
I am here like you
Just trying to get thru
Life's a jungle so
Do the best you can do
[ch]
Oh, come in from the cold
Keep your heart warm
Balance your expectations
And you’ll survive any storm
Forgiveness is not weakness
There are boundaries to hold
Release what doesn’t serve you
Come in from the cold
[br]
No one knows what you’re thinking
But someone does care
The little things can mean the most
And they’re everywhere
Repeat ch

Splendid lyrics and a great melancholy in the performance. The bridge is cool!

I wasn't expecting that generous chorus. I like it.

The situation and story seems true to life. I’ve been in similar situations wondering if the message us getting through and I feel that doubt here too.

I love the idea of "coming in from the cold" as related to forgiveness. Makes a bunch of sense. I especially like your chorus a lot, it has a very nice flow. Great skirmish write!
