Skirmish Prompt: Release
With the prompt 2 things popped in to my mind:
A slow sensual hot sweet release song
OR
A song about my anxiety and fears when the alarms on the high pressure tanks in my lab went off
You can hopefully tell which one I wrote about…
I envision some punk/grunge/or industrial feeling music and happy to have anyone interested put music to it
C1
pressure is building
got to let it go
turn the valves fast
open the flow.. oh… oh… oh…
release the tension
got to let it go
release the tension
and pay attention
release the tension now
V1
clear the halls
find the escapes
run for your lives
before it’s too late
sound the warnings
don’t make mistakes
keep on running
if you want to be safe
hurry now
hurry
hurry away
don’t look back
heed what I say
C2
pressure is building
ready to explode
alarms are sounding
lights are aglow…oh…oh ….oh
release the tension
ready to explode
release the tension
ignore apprehension
release the tension now
V2
leave the streets
get out of town
run for your lives
to safer ground
dodge the bullets
don’t turn around
keep on running
stay low to the ground
hurry now
hurry
hurry away
don’t look back
and don’t fall down
C1
pressure is building
got to let it go
turn the valves fast
open the flow.. oh… oh… oh…
release the tension
got to let it go
release the tension
and pay attention
release the tension now
C2
pressure is building
ready to explode
alarms are sounding
lights are aglow…oh…oh ….oh
release the tension
ready to explode
release the tension
ignore apprehension
release the tension now

Hugely creative writing. I don't think anyone hasher combined these two themes in one lyric. So many images, it could be a sequence in a movie.

I think you managed to write both songs at once. Like that song Urgent from the early 1980's. Could be about some kind of pending man-made disaster or pent up love...

Oh to do them both so well! Powerful and incredible!

Wow, I love this! The images are outstanding. I can picture everything happening and feel the fear it evokes. V2 Is probably my favorite. It made me laugh in the midst of all the tension. Super skirmish!
