Feb 2022 bandlab instrumental
UPDATE: New formula, fortified with lyrics by @musicbymichelle !!! https://fawm.org/songs/136540/
GA say: It all started with The Procrastination Station, which by all rights should be posted at the last minute. While procrastinating on mixing that multi-layered track I took a side quest, stole my harpsicorny casio track and @dzdandcunfsd 's giant crashing guitar track from the station and fiddled with them a bit, then built new layers on top. Wren added the perfect final layer of Moorish guitar.
Wren say: I was thrilled that GA asked if I’d like to contribute something to one of the FAWMlab projects as I was feeling much like a wallflower as I watched everyone else having fun with the different projects. Again, just like other things I’ve done this year for FAWM, I was pushed out of my comfort zone. Glad I did it though because I really like what came out of it and am humbled GA included me on a project they worked on.

Right from the get-go that distorted guitar track creates an unsettling feeling (it kind of reminds me of a spooky moment from "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me"). The juxtaposition of that with the beautiful (but sad) melodies that come in with the other instruments works really well, maybe better than it should. Great job by all on this.

Perfect final layer of Moorish guitar is right.
If anything says musicians should print every version of every idea they have, this Procrastination Station series (with the lyrical one to follow) proves it.

Really cool instrumental! I love the slow pads and understated melody. Inspired to give bandlab another try!

I just listened to @musicbymichelle 's lyrical version of this, and I can say I'm pretty astounded the entirely different feel this got after the acoustic and some other keys got added, especially the stark differences in the other other version :D It was a real joy watching this all come together.

Great combo of the sounds and guitar on top, very atmospheric and gentle piece.

Oh I am enjoying how this kinda wanders around like taking a rambling walk across the fields just to see what's over that next hill.
Although I can hear the coming thunderstorm on the horizon...

Oh this is just lovely. @wrenarcher's guitar is spectacular on top of @gardeningangel1's lovely sounndscape. What an amazing, visceral & emotive journey this is. Wow. I got lost in the layers as images flew through my consciousness. I often joke that I don't need drugs, I've got Pink Floyd & Whisky, that's enough. But I don't even need that with this as the guide to my trip. Wow. Now I gotta go listen to the lyricated version!
See You In The Shadows…

Mind if I publish this again but with vocals?
