Feb 2022 fragment ballad introspective pop
As this year's FAWM draws to a close, I thought it time to reflect a little bit. Out came a quite personal song about a former musical companion of mine, about success and absence of success and about how quickly people forget about you when you're not fun any more... and all of that in just two verses, yay.

Gimme lovely singsong unadorned
Gimme things that I already know
Don't tell me of the river, don't tell me of the sea
Don't tell me how you never really cared about me
Don't tell me the truth
Now let's count our followers, just for fun
See, you got 2052 and I got one
Don't tell me what it means, don't tell me what to do
Don't tell me how I've always been mistaken about you
Don't tell me the truth

I love this!!! Mhmmmmm. Lalalaaa. :-) So soothing. And so the lyrics fit in perfectly.

Love those quiet vocals and the guitar sound.

That's so beautiful. I loved the lyrics and they fit the things you wrote about in the liner notes well. Very nice!

I like the intro music. Great kind of melancholy feel to the song.
