Another acoustic demo written and knocked up very quickly. There's a lot of Manic Street Preachers inspiration in this one. I've tried to avoid their influence as much as possible but naturally it just happens.
This will be a big bombastic rock track once I get around to developing it.
My brother wrote the lyrics. The ‘Bobby’ in the song is Bobby Fischer, the chess player
All these flies buzzing around your head
Killed by the things you said
Torture yourself instead of them
Lets go to war again
Bobby please don't leave this
Don't leave it all behind
Bobby please don't leave us
With these acid rain clouds
Now here we go again
The mind gets overweight
With stolen research in sepia suits
From traitor to martyr
Bobby please don't leave this
Don't leave it all behind
Bobby please don't leave us
With these acid rain clouds
Hand carved castles
Lets go to war
Hand carved castles
Lets go to war
Bobby please don't leave this
Don't leave it all behind
Bobby please don't leave us
With these acid rain clouds

Awesome hook. I’m going to be singing “and Bobby please don’t leave us” all day! Just superb song writing, friend.

You’re one of the FAWMers that never cease to amaze me. Whenever I listen, I can expect a good song, and the pace at which you come up with them is just stunning.
Now that you point to it I can hear the Manics influence, I could indeed imagine it with JDB’s voice, but hey, this is your tune. It is catchy as heck, and has very good lyrics, but I have no idea who Bobby could be either (EDIT: thanks for clearing that up. Gotta get into his story). Maybe it’s just a placeholder because the subject is universal. By the way, the song totally works in that stripped down acoustic outfit.
