I had a burst of activity yesterday looking through my brothers lyrics so I knocked out a few acoustic demos
Love rains down on our senses
Soak it up with our pretence
I have always been un-modern
A young man with an old mans dreams
Eat away at all you see
Living life as a nomad
Nothing scares me and nothing fears me
But I keep one eye on the door
We can always be unwanted
All that time we’re disappointed
Throwing our lives into bags
Eating from the palm of your hand
Living life as if we shouldn’t
Look inside to see what we need
What you saw I’ve never seen
But I keep one eye on the door
Nothing scares me and nothing fears me
But I keep one eye on the door
We can always be unwanted
All that time we’re disappointed
Nothing scares me and nothing fears me
But I keep one eye on the door
We can always be unwanted
All that time we’re disappointed

Really nice sound and vibe to the song and the lyrics are great.

It's always wise to keep one eye on the door—particularly in the crazy world in which we find ourselves these days. For some folks that line "throwing our lives into bags" is propably painfully relevant...
Double-tracked guitars are really solid. The simple beat of the tambourine in the background is a lovely touch. It never gets in the way, but it keeps everything moving to the beat.

Beautiful song. I’m a sucker for the suspended chord resolve, every. damn. time. Great lyrics.
