#SS022522g, #superskirmish, #survival
As soon as I started looking for rhymes for survival, I dredged these lyrics out of my memory, from an early song I started and never finished that had survival and revival. in it.
I went ahead and stepped away from Band in a Box and banged out three (five if d7 is separate from d and c9 is different from C) chords on the guitar all by myself.
Put 'em in your country song
All them times you ran away
What you learned from bailing hay
Why do your kids all act that way
Well, put 'em in your country song
That big ole bear your granddad saw
What's been stickin' in your craw
Your neighbors wanna go to law
Well, put 'em in your country song
The smell of fall in your hometown
The reasons you still stick around
Your little house, your patch of ground
Put 'em in your country song
Leave off pumping, Leave off grinding
Finish losing, ake up finding
Your churchin' and your tractors
Your fishin' and your fact'ry
You know where they all belong
Put 'em in your country song
Put Me in Your Country Song
Nancy Cunningham
You tell some stories from your bible
Let a tent fall at revival
Who do you thank for your SURVIVAL
Put him in your country song
God is good and we are free
It's sounding like a song to me
We're all right and we're all wrong
Put us in your country song

Another great title, and the song doesn't disappoint either. I love how it ends up, we're all right and we're all wrong, put us in your country song...I can kind of hear this comeback to anyone complaining, like, hey fine, put it in your country song then!

This is fun! Got a little message stuck in at the end without shouting it. Sounds like a country song to me!

Made me smile! I’m from Georgia, so I’ve heard lots of country music in my life (whether I wanted to or not), and this absolutely rings true. Great skirmishing!
Don’t forget to post your song link in the skirmish thread - some folks don’t use the tags & it would be a shame for anyone to miss hearing this. :-)

Highly clever lyrics and catchy! In my book D7 and C9 count as two another chords. Well done on the skirmish!

Your voice sounds great! Good mix between vocal & guitar. I like the light-hearted humor in your lyric too. Great hook! I enjoyed listening.
