Feb 2022 singer-songwriter body-positivity fuc ukulele
Been toying with doing a body positivity/body issues themed EP to followup my racial justice EP from last year so I'm squeaking out a demo towards that.
Had to fight really hard to post without further production/polish/bridge. Have to keep repeating to myself "all you need is the demo"
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had loads of hair
And he was a big hit at the bars
Got a reputation for breaking hearts
Fuzzy Wuzzy didn’t care
About shaving up here or down there
It seemed like a lot of fuss
When he liked how he looked good enough
We think it’s funny
That some folks don’t love Fuzzy Wuzzy
But that’s okay cause we know
every single body
Is loved by
somebody
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t small
But he wasn’t exactly tall
That didn’t stop the boys in town
From chasing Fuzzy Wuzzy down
Chasing him was no small trick
Fuzzy was extremely fit
Just had a body that remained thicc
After running marathons with it
We think it’s funny
That some folks don’t love Fuzzy Wuzzy
But that’s okay cause we know
every single body
Yes every body
Is loved by
Somebody

Great song. Love The positive sentiment of the lyrics. I quite enjoyed progression on the ukulele. And the vocal delivery was well done too.

Great message on body positivity here, and a nice turn on the nursery rhyme to a more serious theme.

Lol, I love this, this direction feels like a big wide open field for you to explore, celebrates and uses your wit and humor and sweetness in the best way. <3 Thanks for sharing!

Both silly and genuinely meaningful, this was a joy to listen to, and the nursery-rhyme cadence reinforces that this is a lesson that everyone should be taught from a very young age. Your warm, appealing voice here and bouncy uke are the perfect complements to the inclusive message. Very nice!

Comedic but at the same time a very touching story. I think I love Fuzzy Wuzzy, he belongs on Sesame Street. You've done so much here with just uke and vocals, really impressive.

I loved many a Fuzzy Wuzzies in my life, and prolly will love so many more (just not the hearbreaking ones, of course, hehehe).
