Feb 2022 space-rock rock space james-webb
More space rock from the Bridge11 crew.
This time about the marvellously successful launch of the James Webb Telescope.
Hurrah for rockets!
Hurrah for science!
I bought an Earthquaker Devices Astral Destiny pedal today and it is all over this song. I love it :D
A flawless launch
27 minutes after which
The telescope was released
Completing phase 1 of alignment

That switch to the main song, when the big chorused guitars drop in? Goose-pimples. This, chaps, is how you do that. Lovely production touches throughout (I particularly like the backwards swells).
Oh, and "flawless" isn't the half of it—the Ariane launcher followed the flight path so exactly that it's added about ten years to the viable mission time because the JWST didn't need to make any major course correcdtions at all. So far (touches wood) it's been a staggeringly well-executed mission.

Floyd and Bowie vibes all the way.

I feel like I'm floating up there with the James Webb as I listen to this. You both are so adept at sonically capturing what we earth-bound seem to imagine space to feel like. Stunning (as always)!
See You In The Shadows…
p.s. Reminds me that I need to find some cash for the new Bridge 11 album! LOL

Love it! Should be 10 minutes longer! I really like the "radio" samples moment. When's the new album due? j$

It's like Floyd and Bowie wrapped into one.

Man, I love this project. This is great as usual. True masters of the space mood! One can feel the vastness of the cosmos, and yet be warmed by the auditory pleasures that await while the oxygen depletes.
Oh, and HELL YEAH SCIENCE AND ROCKETS! How 'bout that new wonky ass black hole orbiting that other black hole?!
