Inspired by the fact that light has an age.
Originally tagged as 'whimsy', but now corrected.
One thousand years, travelling at the speed of light
One thousand years, since it made its journey’s start
One thousand years, in the vacuum of deep space
One thousand years, to strike the observer’s face
Old light, old light, born long ago
Old light, from a photograph lost in a kitchen drawer
Old light, old light, opens my eyes
To a window back in time
One hundred years, since the long gone people posed
One hundred years, since that moment froze
One hundred years, captured in that photograph
One hundred years, now reflected back
Old light, old light, born long ago
Old light, from a photograph lost in a kitchen drawer
Old light, old light, opens my eyes
To a window back in time
Everything we see, is already history
Everything we see, is already history
Everything we see, is already history

The bass caught me in the beginning. Cool chord progressions. I love the idea that a photograph opens your eyes to a window back in time.

What I like: the guitar tone, the vocals - what I don't like: The idea this is any way whimsical! j$

first, I love this concept. Second, I love these lyrics. And that ending, with the chords descending like the sun, is almost like a sigh. I had to back it up and hear it again. Nice touch.
I mean, If even light can be old . . . kinda sad!
