This was a such a nice lyric on such a snowy day here. I am looking forward to spring weather, and daffodils. Thank you Simon.
Spring In My Step Today
(Verse 1)
The snow melts on the foothills of this mountain range
The temperature is rising, I can feel the change
I love the way the daffodils sway
I’ve got a spring in my step today
(Verse 2)
Mad March hares leap up in the air and box
Confident they can outrun any sly old fox
Song birds are singing merrily away
I’ve got a spring in my step today
(Bridge)
Winter’s chill memory will soon start to fade
I won’t dwell on what is past, let’s brush it away
This world can be full of news that’s hard to bear
But embrace the warmth that now’s filling the air
(Verse 3)
The sun’s rays beckon to the Queen bumblebee
She emerges and sips nectar to build her energy
I smile as I look down towards the bay
Cos I’ve got a spring in my step today

What fabulous lyrics and a nice melody to show them off with. Wonderful collaboration. Nice busy music conveying all the changes and growth of spring. Great song!

Great wordplay, the repeated arpeggio pattern with the scattershot drum pattern give a sense of awakening and offset the vocal delivery well.

Double cheery with the layers of lyrical optimism and the sunny loops.

Fun random collaboration. Lots of great spring images throughout. I can't wait for warmer weather here in Michigan!

This happy music and optimistic lyrics make me smile. Mandolinda has a lovely voice too. It was surprising to hear the bridge with the same music as verses. But it works beautifully.

I’m so looking forward to spring too, winter is a toughy… I love the bouncy and uplifting synths nicely contrasted with a more gentle and elongated singing pattern; it’s a really interesting juxtaposition. The lyrics paint a wonderful picture, I love all the little details and descriptors. Particular favourite lyric I think is “ Mad March hares leap up in the air and box. Confident they can outrun any sly old fox.” Amazing work, it feels like the song is almost descriptive g the opening to an idyllic Disney film!

Very nice. Classy

I like the way the lyrics are offset from the rhythmic track - very Sinatra! Waiting for Mad March here after a snowstorm today. This brings me forward to Spring.
