This one is kinda scary for me as I have laid down some guitar. I have been meaning to learn guitar properly for a long time and this song felt like it needed some guitar, so I just thought f$%# it, let's do this!
The song is loosely about how hard it can be sometimes to speak your truth.
When the last word comes down to me
When the veil lifts so I can see
Draw a line from my heart to my mouth
Break the seal to let the truth drain out
Only living halfway
Find another pathway
It's a long road
It's a long road
Like driving with the brakes on
Singing to the same song
It's a hard heavy load
When the last word comes down to me
When the veil lifts so I can see
Draw a line from my heart to my mouth
Break the seal to let the truth drain out
Pour a little concrete
Drive along a new street
Make a new way
Make your own way
Turn a big wheel
Let your heart feel
Takes a long time to say
When the last word comes down to me
When the veil lifts so I can see
Draw a line from my heart to my mouth
Break the seal to let the truth drain out
Instr,
When the last word comes down to me
When the veil lifts so I can see
Draw a line from my heart to my mouth
Break the seal to let the truth drain out
When the last word comes down to me
When the veil lifts so I can see
Draw a line from my heart to my mouth
Break the seal to let the truth drain out

Nice imagery here and a beautiful, truthful song :-) "Break a seal to let the truth drain out," reveals a somewhat painful process. Just love the chorus, melody and harmonies. Especially like how you sing, "It's a long road," and then, "Make a new way." Tasteful violin parts, awesome banjo, so nice to hear both. But I don't think I can hear a guitar?

So this is the second song of yours I’ve listened to and like the other, I really like this a lot.
Your violin is such a sweet addition to the texture of the instruments playing. And as I think about it, I’m not sure I’ve heard many, if any at all, violin players on FAWM.
Your mix is really well done. I’m listening on some closed-back noise canceling headphones and everything seems to sit really well in the mix.
This is an absolutely wonderful specimen of a folk song. I love it.

I like that this is such a gentle sounding song about speaking your truth. And as said below some really nice lyrics going on here.

Oh my -- I love how you express this: "Draw a line from my heart to my mouth/Break the seal to let the truth drain out." The whole thing is beautiful, musically and lyrically. I especially love the B/C section (the quicker one), and I love the message of "Pour a little concrete/Drive along a new street" -- this is glorious throughout!

Kudos for trying the guitar! It ties the backing together. Indeed the backing and the harmonies are very supportive of the main tune. Yes, it often is hard to speak your truth. Most people don't. Well put.
