this was going to be a murder ballad haunting type song, it went a bit off course. And I'm not sure how David Bowie got involved.
She's coming up roses and half a mile away
Rapids in the well, Wind has gone astray
And I'm floating in the most peculiar way
Rain, rain won't go away It's into the bone
Over the radio and on the telephone
She's coming up roses and half a mile away
rainbows in the river dragons in the bay
and the stars look very different today
ashes to ashes blowing in from yesterday
walk out in the fields reacquaint your feet with the clay
She's coming up roses and half a mile away
Sugar in the silver the crows have come to stay
I'm floating in the most peculiar way
and the stars look very different today

It is a dark tone to the song. Very well sung and you have a great timbre for these type of songs. I enjoyed this .

I love the dark reverb and dark acoustic guitar sound. Harmonies are great too. Just the right amount of murk and fog.
Lyrics are nicely evocative, and honestly who wouldn't wink at Bowie given the chance?

I have listened to the whole song and smiled reading the lyrics.
Particularly dragons in the bay as it resonates with my Tokio Bay song.
David would approve of this emotive abstract cut-up.
