@fearlessflight2014 - Double Bass & Drum loops

have you ever had inspiration strike
only to say no that's not right
well get your inner critic out of your head
some things are better unsaid
have you ever lost your confidence
and the words come out not making sense
a sneaky suspicion that you're just no good
you can't do it and you never could
it interleaves and interweaves
it's not just dealing with extremes
stepping out in the midst of self doubt
it's where it dances at the seams
have you ever had a vague idea
if you just keep going something will appear
a sneaky peek a fleeting glimpse
an inkling a tinkling
ding-a-ling
if you don' try then you cannot fail
but you can't win if you don't fail
chase that censor out of your brain
give yourself free rein

Love the concept for this track, a sentiment that we could all do with remembering at times. I'm really digging fingerpopping jazzy backing to this.

Great groovy hook line "some things are better unsaid". I love how relentless the vocals keep coming and coming. Being more persistent than the inner critic ftw!
Really enjoying the instrumental section at the end, get to pay even more attention to the nice spare arrangement. Fun piece!

Quieting the inner critic is a goal. I like the idea of stepping out in the midst of self-doubt. The bass sounds great backing the vocals. Nice collab!

Wonderful. Love the sentiment of this. Favorite line for me is "an inkling a tinkling ding-a-ling". That brought a huge smile to my face. That bass playing sits so well. It's comforting to hear. Just a feel good collaboration.

Completely got my head bobbing and I've gotta move. The play between the vocal and bass rhythms is so fun. Completely fun song and has an amazing groove and a fantastic message. An inkling, a tickling... ding-a-ling! Great collab between two of my favs... :)

Oh my GOODNESS!! YOU TWO?!?! This is awesome. Great lyrics! I was laughing out loud with the clever wordplay. Wow, your duet was soooo good. I just loved it.
@kahlo2013 Feb 2022
Yea! This is great! Love the vocals together! Great message! Love the last stanza and fun chorus!
@moonraccoon Feb 2022
I adore low-3rds in harmony. So rarely done (in my regular listening) that it always catches my ear when it shows up. The line that tickled me most "a sneaky peek a fleeting glimpse / an inkling a tinkling / ding-a-ling" Love it.
@cindyrella Feb 2022
This is great in so many ways! Love the lyrics and the way it all came together. Good one!

Real gone, Man! Love me some jazz bass lines, but add quirky vocals to that and I'm so there. Nice work you guys!
@nahlej381 Feb 2022
I was expecting something super punk rock…and you somehow made this wonderful walking double bass jam immensely punk rock…you never disappoint wobbie! Love and respect

Love the sound of this and the lyrics. You two did a great job here. I especially like the harmonies.
