Listening to Alan Holdsworth this morning… sat down in the studio and this came out.. I think it’s my best composition of FAWM and it was really a jam. It captures the spontaneous nature of what Husband, Hunt and Holdsworth would do in sessions. First live drums this year 3 mix’s only.

It can sometimes feel with jazz fusion (is this that?) that the listener needs to 'understand' what's going on to appreciate and enjoy the experience. I absolutely can't comprehend the depth of musicianship needed to create this music, but that does NOT stop me sitting here enjoying the journey I'm being taken on. That lead guitar part, with how it interacts with the rhythm part is so nice at the beginning. I'm pretty sure Steve Vai stop by to put a few notes in at some point ;)

No idea who Alan is but he seems to be a great musician inspiring to use real weird jazz chords sounding so good on a fusion track. But maybe this is because I have absolutely no idea about fusion sorry!
I enjoyed the drums the lead guitar and the walking bass. Complex music for the weird prog and jazz minds. Why does that work?!

Whoa, you do it all apparently! This one starts on a vibe train and then takes you to chaos city. Love the journey of it.

Oh, man. This takes me right back. Love the way the chords move, pretty much the way AH would have done, especially the quieter movements.
