Feb 2022 rock pop current-affairs surprisingly-few-synths
The references to the popular culture of my childhood continue unabated...
When I was extremely little
(a long, long time ago)
The only puppets calling shots
were on a TV show
Now we can see just who was bought
too late to flee; they know they're caught
Calling International Rescue
We need somebody who can take the reins
I'm not trying to depress you
but who else is there who can douse the flames?
This is some kind of mass delusion
I have to say
The inescapable conclusion
is that someone's interfered with play
How this one's going to play out,
at the moment, no-one knows
but there's a lot of loot about
We need to follow where it goes

I'm not familiar with Thunderbirds beyond its existence, but that doesn't not me from enjoying the fun drama and intensity of this song. It's so serious on its face, but with a playfulness and recognition of the absurdity of the subject matter that shines through. You've achieved the perfect balance. And the "Calling International Rescue" chorus is so catchy (and full of muscular guitar goodness)!

Catchy chorus and great guitar work in this one!

I love how the vocals come in behind the beat, very effective. The guitars are really great and production first class.
I wonder whatever happened to Lady Penelope and Parker?
@cindyrella Feb 2022
Wow powerful and great guitars!

Wow.
Just. Wow. This was so complete. Kind of like Queensryche and Genesis combined on a political matter. For a moment I forgot I was listening to a FAWM song, it was so well produced.
If you have an album-worth of this stuff, do make one. Beautiful.

Love the guitars!
