I didn't have any ideas, so I used the lyricloud - and ended up using about a third of the words in one cloud to make a text. Then I played some chords and tried to sing to them until I found a melody I liked. Bits of earlier attempts at a melody filled in the gaps - voilá.
I don't know who I am singing to, or what stupid sh*t I'm encouraging them to do. Your guess is as good as mine.
what are the odds
what are the odds you'll survive this bravery
you'll survive this foolishness
your guts are screaming draw back
your guts are screaming this is impossible
what are the odds they will forgive you for being ignored
what are the odds they'll even have much time to complain
what are the odds this night will end in anything but death
but hey, what were the odds you'd ever get this far
and what are the odds you'll ever forgive yourself
if you give up now
what are the odds

Wonderful work... I really enjoyed the results of your creation. I also enjoyed reading about your strategy to become unstuck, it is helpful... And who are we to say where the message comes from... or where it will go. It seems like sometimes being an artist is merely being an intentional conduit.

The construction may have been a bit random, but it all coalesces into something meaningful. While the story behind the words is shrouded in mystery, the feeling of quiet resolve and struggle to overcome is powerful.

What a beautiful, haunting song, and really well put together lyrically (I've never had much luck using the LyricCloud, so I'm glad you were able to tie things up so seamlessly here). And, as already mentioned, the overlaying vocal tracks are lovely!

Strange melodies and voice overlayings, but they really work, really effective, and haunting.

someone is always te dark horse is somebody else's race, and these days everyone is trying to beat the odds in one situation or another., you capture all these various predicaments in a universal way with a lovely, mournful melody

I like the vocal layering, a very effective development of your haunting melody. Very enjoyable listen.
