Another one with Hykus for the verses....
A distant rumble
Taste the Coming thunder storm
Makes you feel humble
A sense of wonder
Nature will not be ignored
We all feel the force
Streams have broken banks
Buildings have lost their rooftops
Debris all around
Every year we gaze
Amazed it happened again
Look for one to blame
Seen from a distance
Nothing even unusual
A tiny blue dot
Back down on the earth
The storm has left destruction
Never to return

Really enjoy the changeup at "every year we gaze..."
This is a cool way to tell the story and I too am enjoying the mellow guitar vibe.
Is the storm never to return or are the things that were destroyed never to return? I sort of don't believe either one literally, but either one could be the feeling...

Haikus for verses is such a unique idea, I really like how it came out!
