These lyrics still need a bit of work. Plus, I was clipping somewhere, but couldn't track it down with any meters
or by the waveform. I suspect it's in my interface.
Sweet woman you can devastate
In all the right ways
Pry me open when I hesitate
To face the darker days
You see me at my worst
When I'm certain I've been cursed
But dare me to dream
Anyway
When I'm feeling less than bold
And don't know what I'm doin'
You're my comfort in the cold
My refuge in the ruin
When I cave to existential ache
And the shroud of cloud descends
With a look you can penetrate
My tall wall of pretense
You see me at my worst
When I'm certain I've been cursed
But you dare me to dream
Anyway
Chorus
I’m a universe from perfect
light-years from ideal
But you treat me with such respect
You make me feel like a man of steel
Chorus

"I’m a universe from perfect ... light-years from ideal" -- stark and telling. I can relate .... Cool arrangement, too. Love the jazz piano on the fade.

Another great song! Wow you can just crank them out! I like how concise and pointed your lyrics are.
As to clipping, I have noticed that you are kind of bass heavy in your mixes. That and the Rhodes or Whirly can get overdriven on those low notes. Maybe your monitors aren't giving you a clear read on the bass end of things. I just had to rebuild my speakers because the foam that mounts them had dissolved over time. They stopped producing the bass when that happened.
