Feb 2022 country-folk
This is a slight lyrical and full musical rewrite of a song
written with my writing buddies.
His right blinker’s been flashin
For a three-block stretch
The guy behind starts to pass him
She says turn left
Chaos at the intersection
He’s in another mess
His girlfriend changes her directions
Like a broken GPS
If he hesitates seems a bit confused
Doesn’t know just what to do
You can almost always bet
She just hasn’t made his mind up yet
He invited folks to his place
For a Sunday football bash
But now there’s egg on his face
And his friends are talkin trash
Cause he’s standin like a zombie
by the clearance racks
She’s askin do these skinny jeans
Make me look fat
Chorus
He’s been carryin this ring round in his pocket
For a long time
But now he’s thinkin maybe he should hock it
She just hasn’t made up his mind
Chorus

I love this one, really cool lyrics and delivery. I love the picking and I had a good chuckle too.
Cheers bub

Some great imagery in the lyrics ... humorous, but with bite. The twist is the title is perfect. And, as usual, expert guitar!
