Here's no. 3 already!
I think I'm happy now
I wonder what the fuzz was about
got no intentions to feel sad again
get ready to be happy out loud one more cycle
Take it slow, take it easy
When you take it slow
you make it easy
You sang your saddest song
to understand what's wrong
did you notice by walking in silence
everything came right back to you one more cycle
Take it slow, take it easy
when you take it slow
you take it easy
Take it slow, take it easy
when you take it slow
you take it easy

I almost missed this one, and damn am I glad I didn't!
I don't really have anything to say other than I love everything about this. Listened twice and still didn't want it to end.
I'm in awe how you got that guitar to sing some backing la la la la harmonies :D unless those are actually vocals? doesn't matter this is fabulous!

This is worth the price of admission just for "I wonder what the fuzz was about" but this is a splendid bit of shoegaze from start to finish. Loving those jangly guitars.
@tawny249 Mar 2022
I really love what you did with the layered guitars here, and the weave of major and minor chords. I'm a sucker for a good cathartic song, and that's what this sounds like to me. It's not hopeful or entirely melancholy - it seems more like self-forgiveness. You did a lot with a short lyric, and it didn't feel overly repetitive. Good stuff.

I like the echoey guitar set against the solid bass and drums. The verse is kinda wistful and wandering and then the firmer one more cycle comes in - I like the contrast. I like the lyrical content and it feels heartfelt. Plenty of musical space in this which is nice. Good song - nice work

Nice. Dig the drum sound. I like the delayed electric guitar chiming in. Nice message in the lyric. Cool little falsetto in the end of the lines.

I hate those fuzz periods that just take over sometimes. But, this song really expresses well that with the downs come ups if we wait it out and take it easy. I really like the phrase 'be happy out loud'. The whole second verse was so insightful, and encouraging. I liked the dreamy feel of the music and vocals. This just leaves me with a good feeling!

I was engaged as soon as the song started. Great chords and the music just pulls you along in a slow sad drift. Just beautiful. #tit4tat
@nadine Mar 2022
I completely agree to @katestantonsings that the stanza about the saddest song is awesome. Also a big fan of the modern drum sounds on the singer-songwriting guitars. Cool stuff #tit4tat

I love the dreamy feel to this song, it feels like a warm hug. The lyrics are very though provoking and add to the overall ethereal feeling of the song.

Lush opening - spacious and welcoming. Nice vocal tones again, pensive, yet easy going. Very nice journey, lulling our ears and minds

Now this one is really, really nice. There is something in the music and words and your vocals that is just beautiful. Actually it makes me a bit sad and melancholy. I feel like I can't even say anything more about it. Still it's a great one, Ferry.

"You sang your saddest song
to understand what's wrong
did you notice by walking in silence
everything came right back to you
one more cycle"
An ethereal reflection on the ups and downs of life--we must feel the lows to appreciate the highs. Chill. Lovely. Nice work, Ferry!!

That drum choice is good...the way the snare decays...it makes a crisp backdrop for the atmospheric, melancholic guitar and vocal. This one really works for me. It's hypnotic and emotional. That bass really drives. Great vocal, too, especially when you go high on "easy." This is my kind of thing for sure, and this particular thing is really good. Definitely one of my fav ferry tunes on first listen

I like the "modern" drum track - adds to the spacey feel - and that shimmering guitar. The gradual introduction of more guitars and sliding bass (love that!) work very well. "Get ready to be happy out loud" is a great line. Languid vocal melody works so well to establish an ethereal feel. The pause on the drums adds to the subdued power of the ending. One of your best!

feel like im floating on a cloud as i sink my ears into this confection.

This is really great. Apart from the change of pace, which is a great delight and surprise, the lyrics really are the best I can remember hearing from you. The mix is lovely, rich, wide, dreamy, the mood is mellow, and that bass sound is mmmmmmmm.... even the fret runs sound like yummy.... what a lovely enjoyable listen! Worth the wait. Well done my friend. Tops in every department. Really good. Ima listen again.
