What to say... I'm not really sure. Best just to listen.
Time to Decide [B] -Jason Madison JRM
B7(#9) E9
Gimme all your troubles
But I won’t give you mine
Drop all your burdens
Go ahead take your time
Leave it all with me
But don’t go your way
Open up your heart
And I’ll be there to stay
(break)
The way that you’re feelin
You’re lost and astray
You don’t have no compass
To point you today
You’re pulled all directions
Need help to get through
You say that you’re tempted
I know, I’ve been there too
C#(#9) B7(#9)
Whatever happened to that knowledge of youth
You had it all figured out, you knew the truth
But years have gone by, bad choices and all
Don’t recognize yourself, in that mirror on the wall
But maybe that whisper, in the back of your mind
It’s time to take heed, it’s time to decide
I’ll hold out my hand
As long as it takes
I’ve held them both out
Through pain and the stakes
Now won’t you come close
What can you lose?
I”ll wait right here
It’s time, it’s time to choose
(break) to chorus

I dig a song based on imperatives as this is, and I find the "I" to be quite compelling. This combination of offers and orders and fellow-travelers must surely make its case. It's so flexible too, this could be a personal angle speaking, or an entire church! The swing of the rhythm section is a perfect bed for it, and the tone of that lead is sweeet. With the loungey vibe you know you can believe it when it says I'll wait, I'll wait ~right~ ~here.~

This is a great lyric! And the vibe is so good!
Your vocals are great on this as well!
This is probably one of my favorites of yours from this year!
Love it!

Smokey and bluesy, good job. Shades of Nick Cave and the bad seeds
