Decided to let loose on this one. The finish line draweth near....
I have come too far for just a photograph
To gaze upon my scars and fever laugh
There is no sense in pausing at some fabled destination
Keep your sunsets and your wooden bench
Time keeps on, it needs no audience
To calmly sit in quiet contemplation
All around me bees are buzzing, they're in my eyes, my throat, my lungs, I won't stop now my mind is running
Once you stare into that endless void
You count each step you take with thoughtless joy
Sweet motion of the current pulls you through the rapids of creation
Those who hold on to your sudden course
May come and go, and oblige some sweet discourse
There is no need to welcome them to your obliviation
Fires are burning, smoke compelling, the very essence of your soul is always at some risk of melting
Me, I dance alone, the true contender
Chaos fills my bones as I remember
Love is but an object of salvation
Why would I desire an easy course
Of gentle rain after tasting this eternal storm
I close my eyes and whisper to some call for cold damnation
Oh, my body, feet are pounding, to live is to let go especially when you find out oh, you're drowning

This is such a catchy minor-key song that pulled me in right away. What a superb melody for this song of desperation. Intriguing lyrics too.

You did let loose! Love the picked banjo in the background. Now a full instrumental with the banjo - fun! Your vocal control is impressive.

I love the “whoop” after the second verse - sounds like you enjoyed this one! It’s got great energy, and your voice sounds great, as it always does. Lyrically it’s so strong - it sounds like it’s always existed, a kind of classic of the style. It’s a great skill! I have a few to catch up on too…
