I took more time to flesh this one out. I made subtle differences in the chorus and think it helps it....I heard the word "stranger" the other day and thought that might be a good topic to write about! First person for more impact...
STRANGER
When I look in the mirror
I see red, tired eyes
Circles beneath them
Why am I surprised
The gray in my hair
Must have grown overnight
This can’t be me
But do reflections lie
[ch]
Oh, who is that stranger
In my room
A shadow of a person
I thought I knew
Days melt together
And years pass through
We show our age
Way too soon
Why do I doubt
Decisions I make
I used to be confident
Tried to fix my mistakes
Why do I stay
When I want to go
Can I find adventure
If I start tomorrow
[ch]
Oh, who is that stranger
In a foul mood
A shadow of a person
I thought I knew
Days melt together
And years pass through
I need to adjust
My attitude
[br]
When I hear an old song on the radio
I find I’m humming to a different time
Shoulders relaxed, head full of ideas
Hey, old friend of mine
[ch]
Oh, who is that stranger
What will he do
With the memory of a person
I always knew
Days melt together
And years pass through
Oh, it’s never too late
To go back to your roots

I think we all get that feeling at times, when you get "on" a little, and you double take in the mirror you're passing or stare in disbelief at a picture you were "captured" in. And then you double take at the person you're with and you realize that you were both so busy going, you lost sense of where you actually were. A good one.... Kristi. The back to your roots is a lifeline.... a lovely trademark of yours. Well done.

Real and reflecting lyrics about aging. But most importantly not without hope. It feels whole and focused but it still covers a lot of ground without getting lost. That is a hard thing to do and you've done it well here.
