Mike and I felt that we needed a slow song for our cd, so we are giving this one a go. I wrote the lyric, Mike did the Music and production. We are working on a cd called "Change" and our group is called "10 Miles 2 Neptune"
We will re-record this for the cd, so any comments are welcome.
Mike: this was a fun lyric from Tammy as it was different from our other collabs. I wasn't sure what to add in production, so kept it simple - bass, doubled rhythm guitar and a very low-in-the-mix guitar doing high arpeggio chords
Tired of the Blues

Search the sky to see my stars in line
but they collide and seem out of time
there's no guide to find where to go next
but I can bet it won't be what I expect
I'm sad, the moon's lost it's glow
I'm feeling low
Trying to walk but there's always rain
coming down on my plans again
the window shows my world passing by
my heart packs it's bags and I try
the heavens keep pouring down
I'm gonna drown
chorus
want to deal
want to cope
want to have hope
can't always come unglued
need to dance
need to sing
need to do anything
I'm tired, I'm tired
I'm tired of the blues
Out in the world feeling all alone
stumbling around 'cause the sun never shone
every path I walk seems to come to an end
each plan's impossible without a friend
I struggle no one's aware
no one cares
Clouds are getting black and closing in
Winds of time are blowing, I'm in a spin
pressure to keep walking thorugh the storm
I could try but my fears have me torn
Hard to get to tomorrow
with sorrow

What a magical song and duet! Absolutely gorgeous! It drew me right in from the first guitar chords and Tammy's vocals. You are both singing so beautifully. Love your solos and duet. Bitter-sweet song, loving and moving.

This is a wonderful piece. A solid duet, which I am a fan!
A blues title with a hint of hope...well done.
@richaaaay Mar 2022
Really nice song you two have here. The production and mix are well done. Guitar tone and steady rhythm work well. Vocal performance is great and lyrics too…
@jamkar Mar 2022
Beautiful collab. I especially like that chorus!
@siebass Mar 2022
Fun guitar with the drone and the movement; kind of feels like the beginning of "Kiss me" by the Cardigans. Enjoyed when the bass came in. Surprise duet! I do always enjoy duets, great vocals on both. I know this is supposed to be a sad song, but it feels like it has a hopeful undertone to it. Lyrics are a real downer, but the music definitely injects some hope to it. Enjoyed the guitar tones on this too

Just beautiful. The guitar sounds crisp and the vocals sparkle. The two just compliment each other.
@timfatchen Mar 2022
beautiful progression and melody in the verses, and the two voices complement each other so well. And we all get tired of the blues. Especially these last two years. Well put and thought out lyrics too. I know @mikeb says they were a "fun lyric" but they come across with serious depth.
@b3nut Mar 2022
Gorgeous vocal and guitar work, really gives voice to feelings a lot of us experience...I can definitely relate. I like this one a lot.
@audrey Mar 2022
Such a melancholy but lovely song. It suits these very sad lyrics well. Really nice melody. I like this duet format. Great collaboration.
@resonut123 Feb 2022
That smooth acoustic guitar and the lovely vocals by you both, sure can chase anyones blues away. Fine lyric, that the music compliments nicely.
Cool collab!
@ferry0123 Feb 2022
There's a lot to that one line, 'I'm tired of the blues'. The way you sing it says it all. Simple and so effective is the instrumentation. Nice duet and arrangement. Good luck finishing your album!
@danvaillancourt Feb 2022
Nice collab! Your voices work well together. Great arrangement.
@katestantonsings Feb 2022
Wow, this is beautiful! Nadia sent me here :) First off, I love the painting of the woman in blue that you have used as the backdrop photo on SoundCloud. Second, your vocals sound sublime together. So beautiful! Nice collab.
@crisp1 Feb 2022
Nice duet, you made a good choice not to overdo it -- the simplicity of the production gives prominence to your voices and lets the words say what they need to. You both sound at the peak of your talents!
@quadrivium Feb 2022
Your voices and instruments are gorgeous on this. I'm listening on studio monitors and it sounds like you've done some specific stereo placement of the instrument and vocal parts. The arrangement sounds really full and like I am surrounded by the band. I like it!
@panch Feb 2022
I enjoyed all of this, writing, performance and production. Excellent.
@grayland Feb 2022
I love this collab! First thing I hear is a very sweetly played acoustic riff and then Tammy's beautiful voice... What a combo!!. Mike, you did a fantastic job on this song, I really appreciate the simplicity of the acoustic guitar and subtle bass. The duets are lovely! The lyrics are sad and brooding, and evoke an emotional response...probably in everyone... Nice work folks!!
@chroes Feb 2022
That's a wonderful song. Your voices complement each other very well, the guitar tracks are solid. The song itself has a melancholic mellowness that's adorable.
@bethdesombre Feb 2022
Cool band name! And this is lovely! I like "Trying to walk but there's always rain/coming down on my plans again" and the chorus is especially nicely done.
@cindyrella Feb 2022
What a beautiful creation you two! It gives me goosebumps and it's so relatable and lovely!
@frank Feb 2022
I think we can all relate to these lyrics. Well done!
