Feb 2022 acid downtempo electronic vocal piano fawmtronica
I came up with this Etude on the 16th of this month, and transformed it into a song today. The lyrics have a longer history though, I wrote them May 4th, 2015. The main English section, the Latin section, and crib notes for myself on what I was trying to express in the Latin. Today I decided to also sing these, as they do also rhyme with a simple edit.
Ipsa est profunde pavida
Tamen illa velle experira
Ipsa consequi sperat imprimere
Ipsa sperat tribuo satisfacere
The mere idea
So hard to bear
It's frightening
But I don't care
I'm fortunate
That you are there
Were I alone
I wouldn't dare
Electrified
I'm petrified
No will to run
No will to hide
She's wiping down
The tears I've cried
I hope she's proud
That I have tried
Ipsa est profunde pavida
Tamen illa velle experira
Ipsa consequi sperat imprimere
Ipsa sperat tribuo satisfacere
She's deeply scared
Yet she will try
She hopes to impress
And hopes to satisfy
So deeply scared
Yet she's ready to prove herself
She hopes to satisfy
She hopes to impress

Hey there, what a beautiful, pensive and expansive intro. Your backing vocals sound like a choir of angels. Your vocals, though delicately sung, still cut through so clearly, I enjoy being able to understand them (well, except that Latin part :-). The song intensifies and gets pretty rocking for a while. Then, ahh, a deep breath. Just love all your sounds, quite an impressive composition!

Oooh this opening generates a really haunting and beautiful mood before your lyrics even start. The bass heartbeat is also working for me. I ran the Latin through google translate so I would get a sense how it all fits with your lyrics in English. See below:
She is profoundly terrified
She still wants to try it out
She hopes to impress
She hopes to give satisfaction
Overall, this piece of music feels very cinematic. This reminds me a lot of the Matrix soundtrack--not that it sounds like any specific song. But I could hear it fitting in very well with the other musical pieces. Cool!
